LEGAL DEPARTMENT

Tasks:

It follows the legislative process, with special emphasis the respective sector.

It assists affiliated companies in the areas of labor law and collective bargaining.

It provides opinion on legislative proposals.

It prepares studies and amendments to the sector’s Collective Labor Agreements (CCT).

It negotiates, within the framework of FENAME, the revisions of the collectively agreed regulations for the sector with the employees’ representative organizations.

It studies and monitors issues relating the social component of the European Union.

It participates in specific working groups of national and international organizations to which ANEME is affiliated, including the Centre for Development of Work Relations in the Portuguese Confederation of Business and working groups on Industrial Relations and European Affairs of CEEMET-Council of European Employers of the Metal, Engineering and Technology Based Industries, an international organization representing the interests of employers’ associations of the metal industry, engineering and technology from 22 countries.

It collaborates on various projects within the framework of national and community programs, developed by ANEME.

It organizes training courses, directed to affiliated companies, within their area of responsibility.

It collaborates with the other departments in interdisciplinary activities.

It collaborates on the ANEME bulletin.
